Inspired by the Wonders of Fore, The Anchorite Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey honours Fore’s rich heritage and embodies the patience, devotion, and quiet strength of its wonder.

Perched among the rolling hills of the Valley of Fore in Westmeath, lies the Anchorite’s Cell. It was here that medieval recluses devoted their lives to simplicity, prayer and confinement. On their reckoning day, the Anchorite steps into the light and is rewarded in their silent resilience.

Similarly, this inaugural release marks an ascent into light. Drawn from a single cask at its moment of readiness, a spirit shaped by stillness and transformed by time is revealed.

Distilled from a traditional mash of malted and unmalted barley, oats, and rich spring water of Fore, this single pot still whiskey is rested in ex-bourbon casks and finished in aged rum casks. This full-bodied whiskey is elevated with notes of soft vanilla, caramel and dried fruit, truly divine in character.

The Anchorite now steps from shadow into light, a whiskey revealed at last.
